International Forum on Clean Energy – Macao
CGNNT participated in and signed agreements during the 7th International Forum on Clean Energy which was held in Macao on 11 December 2018.
The event is sponsored by the International Forum on Clean Energy (Macao), the China ASEAN center and ASEAN energy center. The theme for the event was “clean energy intelligence guidance and China ASEAN cooperation“. The Forum aims to promote clean energy cooperation and cooperation in nuclear technology applications between China and ASEAN countries. The Forum also aims to develop opportunities presented by the “Belt and Road” program that enables China to promote technological innovation in smart energy and energy block chains to a wider audience. More than 200 government officials, scholars and industry experts from home and abroad made speeches and contributed to discussions and exchanges on a range of important topics.
During the Forum Mr Hu Dongming, Secretary of the CPC Interim Committee and General Manager of CGNNT signed a cooperation agreement with Ms. Chomduen Satavuthi, Executive Director and General Manager of Thailand Non-destructive Testing Company. The agreement will enable the parties to take advantage of the development opportunities presented by the “Belt and Road” initiative. CGNNT will use its advanced accelerator technology knowledge and expertise to promote research and new applications for the use of accelerator technology in many fields including material modification, food processing, medical and health. The technological impetus for growth in the application of nuclear technology will support the construction of an Eastern Economic Corridor in Thailand.
